Disks

There are several disk slots. Every slot can be empty or there can be a disk inserted into it. Disks are real files with DISK extension and special structure.

Every slot can be:

Read-only
It means that NoSense program cannot write into the inserted disk. It can only read its content.
Remembering
It means that slot will remember disk that is inserted into it after restart of the machine.

The status is independent of particular inserted disk. Disk files that are read-only can be inserted only into slots that have read-only status.

Every inserted disk has a size in bytes. Program can write and read its content (if the slot is read-only, program can only read). It's impossible to read beyond end of disk. The disk has fixed size and cannot be resized by the NoSense program.

Every disk has a position. The position is a number that represents something like cursor in disk content. When program writes or reads in the disk, this operation happens in place where the current position points and the position is updated - increased by number of bytes read or written. Position is a unsigned integer number in bytes counted from the beginning of the disk content.
