Titlebar messages
Messages, that can appear on the titlebar of main application window,
can come from:
- Currently executing program
- Kernel, if it crashes
In this second case, allowed messages are:
Memory error
- Cannot perform elementary operation on the memory.
- The reason can be that eg an address or an addressing mode in a
instruction is wrong.
- It is also possible that the memory size is too small for the
program you are trying to run.
Invalid opcode
Invalid opcode category
- Kernel has met unknown instruction during execution.
- Control could have been transmitted to the memory area which is unengaged,
engaged with data, not the code or just into the wrong place in
code (somewhere inside an instruction).
- Code could have been intended to the virtual machine with other version
of kernel that manages new instructions.
Memory overlap
- Memory areas given to an instruction overlaps and this is illegal
in this instruction.
No disk to boot
- There is no disk inserted or neither of inserted disks is bootable.
- A disk is bootable only if it is specially marked.
- Only disks which have
Remember attribute are inserted
after the machine is restarted.
Not enough memory to boot from disk x
- Memory size is too small for kernel to load the program from disk
that is booting.
- Disk header contains size of the program that should be loaded
during boot. This header might be corrupted.
- It is also possible that memory size is too small for this program.
Cannot boot from disk x
- An error occurred during load the program from disk that is booting.
- This error is most likely connected with disk read error.
Internal error [x]
- There was a wrong value of the parameter used internally in kernel.
It means a bug in the kernel. The reason of the error can be
identified by searching kernel source code for this error message with
its code.
- This error should never occur.
