Screen
Screen is a device that can show text and graphic. It has resolution
(width and height) and it can be in one of three modes:
- Erroneous
- You cannot set this mode. Screen is in this mode when an error occurs while
trying to set the mode.
- Text
- Screen is the 2-dimensional array of characters. Every character has its own
ASCII character code, background color, text color and can be underlined.
User can change font in the special dialog box in the virtual machine.
- Graphic
- Screen is the array of pixels. Every pixel has its own color. If the
resolution in graphic mode is low, pixels will be presented on a real screen
as filled squares, maybe with spaces between.
In the current version of NoSense, a text mode is initially active, but there
is no guarantee of this starting mode in future versions.
Characters and pixels are indexed from 0 to right and bottom.
