Syntax overview

NoASM source file is a text file. End-of-line character can be CR (13, 0x0D), LF (10, 0x0A - like in Linux), or a sequence of both: CR, LF (like in Windows).

There is strict partition into lines in NoSense. Every instruction, compiler command or preprocessor directive must be in separate line. Of course, empty lines are allowed too.

NoASM is case insensitive. It means that every identifier (name of an instruction, label, command, directive etc.) can be written uppercase or lowercase without any difference.

Comments

There are no multiline comments. Comment begins with semicolon ; and ends with end of line. Comment can be in separate line or at the end of a line with some content.
